In the early morning, Poonam, 12, (left) and her sister Jyoti, 13, (right) are ready to leave home to attend lessons at the cozy, private school they regularly attend since 2011, located by their newly built home in Oriya Basti, one of the water-contaminated colonies in Bhopal, central India, near the abandoned Union Carbide (now DOW Chemical) industrial complex, site of the infamous '1984 Gas Disaster'.
